International Division Staff Excellence Awards

The Committee on Academic Staff Issues (CASI) is pleased to announce that nominations are now being accepted for the 2026 International Division Staff Excellence Awards. 

Since 2018, the International Division Staff Excellence Awards have recognized the exceptional accomplishments and efforts of International Division staff members in support of the International Division’s mission. This year, three awards are given—one to early-career staff, one to mid-career staff, and one to later-career staff.

Submission Process

This nomination form must be completed by a primary nominator and 1-2 supporting nominators. The primary nominator must be a staff or faculty member in the International Division. Please invite up to two others to submit supporting nominations.

Nominee Eligibility

Nominees must have at least a 50% appointment in the International Division. They must have completed at least one year of work in the International Division at the time of nomination and successfully completed their probationary period by the nomination deadline of February 27. 

Award Categories

Category One recognizes staff with 1-4 years of work in the division.

Nominees should: 1) demonstrate outstanding performance in their position; 2) demonstrate substantial promise of future contributions; 3) exhibit a high degree of professionalism. 

Category Two recognizes staff with 5-10 years of work in the division.

Nominees should: 1) demonstrate outstanding performance in their position; 2) demonstrate leadership and service in the International Division within and beyond their position responsibilities; 3) exhibit a high degree of professionalism; 4) show promise of continuing contributions. 

Category Three recognizes staff with 11 or more years of work in the division.

Nominees should: 1) demonstrate outstanding performance in their position; 2) demonstrate leadership and service in the International Division within and beyond their position responsibilities; 3 exhibit a high degree of professionalism; 4) show promise of continuing contributions. 

Awards Nomination and Selection Process

The 2026 Staff Excellence Awards Selection Committee is convened by the co-chairs of CASI and will comprise five representatives from across International Division units, including past award recipients. The nominees and nominators in a given year are ineligible to serve on the selection committee. The committee will recommend one awardee per category. Recipients are recognized at the final ID all-staff meeting of the academic year and receive $1,500.
