Celebrate International Opportunities Month this February

February 2010 features the 10th annual International Opportunities Month (IOM) on campus! The celebration is organized by a campus-wide committee of globally focused organizations, chaired by the Center for International Business Education and Research (CIBER). Throughout the month, students of all majors are invited to attend IOM events; learn about global issues; and hear about ways to travel, work, study, and volunteer abroad.

On Tuesday, February 16, as part of IOM, CIBER will host “U.S.-China Economic Relations Post-Crisis” featuring Professor James Dean of Simon Fraser University in Canada. Professor Dean will discuss the implications of the global financial crisis on the economic relationship between the U.S. and China and will provide his perspective on how this relationship is likely to evolve.
