Division and WAA Announce Issue 2, Wisconsin Worldview

The Division of International Studies and the Wisconsin Alumni Association (WAA) are pleased to announce the second issue of the online communique, Wisconsin Worldview, published specifically for alumni living abroad.

A message from the Wisconsin Alumni Association President and CEO Paula Bonner and Division of International Studies’ Dean Gilles Bousquet:

In this issue of Wisconsin Worldview you can read about a Haitian graduate student who is creating sustainable long-term solutions for his home country, learn about a new program in global real estate, and check out photos of international students ice fishing on Lake Mendota. This is your newsletter and we hope you’ll join in our global conversation.

We’re pleased to be joining University of Wisconsin-Madison Chancellor Carolyn “Biddy” Martin PhD’85 on her trip to mainland China in the next few weeks. Our UW delegation looks forward to visiting alumni and universities in Beijing, Tianjin, Hangzhou, and Shanghai. You can find more information on alumni events happening in Beijing on Saturday, March 27, and Shanghai on Friday, April 2, at uwalumni.com/international.

Finally, we hope you can join us July 26–28, 2011, for the International Convocation at UW-Madison. We’ll keep you posted on plans for this event in upcoming issues of Wisconsin Worldview.

On Wisconsin!
