Gender and International Policy Research Circle

The Gender and International Policy Research Circle will hold an organizational meeting tomorrow,

Wednesday, February 11th starting at noon in 105 Ingraham.

The Gender and International Policy Research Circle is research circle on the UW-Madison campus supported by Global Studies, the International Institute, and the Division of International Studies. The circle seeks to bring together graduate students and faculty with an interest in gender and policy in local, national and comparative international perspective. Our goal is to serve as an intellectual space for discussion of issues of gender and policy, widely-conceived. Our agenda is led by the participants, and we invite all interested members of the UW community to become involved. Currently we have members with regional interests in Africa, Asia, Europe, Latin America and the United States. Please see our events page for a listing of past and future speakers. We will also be planning a workshop in the Fall of 2009. The circle is led by faculty members Christina Ewig (Gender and Women’s Studies, and Political Science) , Myra Marx Ferree (Sociology) and Aili Tripp (Political Science and, Gender and Women’s Studies).

If you are interested in becoming involved, please come to one of our meetings, or contact Kristy Kelly at kekelly@wisc.edu. Also, check out our website for updates on future meetings, speakers and other events.
