This week, February 5-6, 2010, UW–Madison will host an international conference titled, “The Global University: Past, Present, and Future Perspectives.”
This event will bring together leading higher-education scholars from China, Australia, Canada, Norway, the United Kingdom, and the United States to discuss (a) the role(s) universities have played-and continue to play-in a ‘global knowledge economy,’ and (b) the evolving identity of university teacher-researchers and their changing functions in institutions of higher learning.
Please join us for this international event. It’s *free* and lunch will be provided on both days of the conference. All proceedings will take place in the Fluno Center.
Pre-registration is required. You can find more information, as well as link to the registration form, at the conference Web site: http://gshe.global.wisc.edu/globaluniversity/
Sponsors of The Global University conference include: the Worldwide Universities Network; the University of Bristol; the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign; and the University of Wisconsin-Madison’s Division of International Studies, Global Studies, and Department of Educational Policy Studies.
