International Division Staff Excellence Awards

Nominations are now being accepted for International Division Staff Excellence Awards through February 1, 2020. Information about the award categories, eligibility, nominations, and required documents can be found below. Questions can be directed to casi@international.wisc.edu.

Staff Excellence Awards
Categories of eligibility for International Division Staff Excellence Awards are:

Category One: recognizes staff with 1-7 years of work in the International Division.
Recipients should:
i. demonstrate outstanding performance in their position,
ii. demonstrate substantial promise of future contributions, and
iii. exhibit a high degree of professionalism.

Category Two: recognizes staff with 8 or more years of work in the International Division.
Recipients should:
i. demonstrate outstanding performance in their position,
ii. demonstrate leadership and service in the International Division within and beyond their position responsibilities,
iii. exhibit a high degree of professionalism,
iv. show promise of continuing contributions.

Awards Eligibility

Eligible staff must have an appointment in the International Division of 50% or more.

Awards Nomination Process

Any current International Division staff can submit nominations. Nominations will be forwarded to the Staff Awards Review Committee, made up of representatives from ID administrative units and past award recipients. Each year, the International Division Dean will select representatives to serve on the committee.

Awards Nomination Required Documents

The following documents should be submitted to casi@international.wisc.edu

  1. Nomination form.
  2. Letter of nomination.
    This can come from any staff member or faculty member of the International Division. To give the candidate the most favorable consideration, the letter of nomination should describe how the nominee demonstrates the criteria for the awards.
  3. Supporting letters – maximum two.
    These letters of support shall come from people such as other staff members, faculty members, students, and members of the community and shall address the candidate’s qualifications for the specific award. To give the candidate the most favorable consideration, the supporting letter should describe how the nominee demonstrates the criteria for the awards.

Awards Application Deadline

The deadline to submit nominations is February 1.
