NEW STUDY ABROAD “101” INFORMATION SESSION

Madison, WI – Starting this semester, International Academic Programs will be holding a “Study Abroad 101” information session. The session, held every day from 2:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. in the Study Abroad Resource Room, 250 Bascom Hall, will provide prospective study abroad students with information about researching study abroad programs, how study abroad coursework transfers to UW-Madison, and funding opportunities for study abroad.

In addition to providing advising services for UW-Madison study abroad opportunities, International Academic Programs (IAP) is now advising students on the research process for non UW-Madison study abroad opportunities.

IAP will also hold a study abroad open house Thursday, February 1, from 10 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. in 250 Bascom Hall.

International Academic Programs offers the largest number of study abroad programs at UW-Madison. Students receive credit for courses offered in 150 programs on six continents. About 1600 UW-Madison students study abroad each year and the university ranks No. 11 nationally in the total number of students studying abroad.
