Taiwanese Arts Week (Sept 10 – 18, 2011) is a series of arts-related performances, lectures, and events celebrating the tradition and innovation of creative practice in Taiwan. A public reception will be held Wednesday, September 14 at 7:00 p.m. in the lobby of the Madison Museum of Contemporary Art located at 227 State Street.
The reception immediately follows a 5:30 p.m. screening of the documentary “Swing,” also presented at Madison Museum of Contemporary Art.
Taiwanese Arts Week is presented by the UW-Madison Dance Department and the Taipei Cultural Center/Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in New York, with additional sponsorship from Council for Cultural Affairs, R.O.C. (Taiwan); Dane County Cultural Affairs Commission, with additional funds from the Overture Foundation and the Pleasant T.
