Adam Briggs
Position title: Associate General Counsel, UPS
Adam Briggs has advised global organizations as an attorney and compliance executive for nearly 20 years. A Wausau, Wisconsin native, Adam earned his undergraduate degree from UW–Madison, where he majored in History, Political Science, and East Asian Studies, studied abroad in Beijing, and held roles including Director of the Distinguished Lecture Series, Writing Fellow, and House Fellow in Chadbourne Residential College. After graduation, he worked for the U.S. Department of Defense before earning his law degree at Georgetown University.
Adam began his legal career at Godfrey & Kahn in Madison, focusing on international trade, litigation, and transactional matters. He later joined UPS, serving first in Asia as Region Compliance Counsel, then as Director of Special Investigations, and ultimately as Global Compliance Counsel. Adam subsequently became Chief Compliance Officer at Mayo Clinic, supporting global strategy and serving on the Audit Committee of Sheikh Shakhbout Medical City in Abu Dhabi. He returned to UPS as Associate General Counsel, where he now oversees international trade, workplace safety, and environmental compliance across more than 200 countries and territories.
Adam lives in northeast Florida with his family and serves on the Board of Directors for the Jacksonville Police Athletic League, a nonprofit dedicated to enriching the lives of children through education, athletics, and leadership programs.
