UN Special Envoy on HIV/AIDS to Speak at UW-Madison

Madison, WI — Stephen Lewis, Canadian politician and diplomat, will speak Monday, March 12 as part of the Wisconsin Union Directorate’s Distinguished Lecture Series at 7:30 pm in Union Theater, Memorial Union, 800 Langdon St.

Lewis, the former Canadian ambassador to the United Nations and Deputy Executive Director of UNICEF, now serves as the UN Special Envoy on HIV/AIDS in Africa. He also chaired the first International Panel on climate change.

Tickets for this lecture are free and available Monday, March 5 at the Union Theater Box Office, Memorial Union for UW-Madison students, faculty, staff and Union members; and for the public on March 8.
