UW Cinematheque invites you to attend films for their International Spring 2010 program. All events are held at 4070 Vilas Hall, 821 University Avenue, Madison WI 53706. The Cinematheque is a coalition of UW–Madison academic departments and student film groups dedicated to showcasing films which would otherwise never reach Madison screens.
As the screening facility of the Wisconsin Center for Film and Theater Research [WCFTR], a member of the International Federation of Film Archives [FIAF], the Cinematheque regularly showcases archival and other rare prints from around the world. The Cinematheque screens films every Friday and Saturday night [and on the occasional Sunday afternoon] while the university is in session during the fall and spring semesters.
The Cinematheque also runs a month-long series in the summer with screenings on Thursday and Friday nights.
