The Worldwide Universities Network (WUN) is pleased to announce the Global Challenges call for proposals, due the UW-Madison Division of International Studies by 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, October 18, 2011.
UW-Madison faculty and academic staff are invited to apply for grants designed to facilitate international collaboration. To support research collaborations, the WUN Research Development Fund (RDF) offers grants of up £15,000 (average £10,000) from an overall fund in 2011-2012 of up to £200,000. WUN is a consortium of leading public research universities. Together, members seek to strengthen international partnerships and advance knowledge and understanding on issues of global concern through collaborative international research, virtual seminars, innovative learning opportunities, and online resource development.
The initiative has created a “Global Challenges” research collaboration funding opportunity. WUN Research Development Funds will be awarded to projects about:
- Adapting to Climate Change
- Understanding Cultures
- Global Health – (Public Health – non-communicable disease)
- Globalization of Higher Education and Research
