Student Internship Opportunities:
The India Initiative announces internship funding for students at UW–Madison to carry out internships or other UW-supervised programs in India in summer 2010. Three grants of $2,000 are available. Students should send a letter of application along with one letter of reference to Lalita du Perron, associate director, Center for South Asia, University of Wisconsin–Madison, 203 Ingraham Hall, 1155 Observatory Drive, Madison, WI, 53706, or by e-mail to duperron@southasia.wisc.edu by 12 p.m. on May 24. Internship Exploration Grant for UW–Madison Faculty:
This grant is for faculty wishing to travel to India to explore internship/short-term study opportunities for UW–Madison students in India. All UW–Madison faculty can apply, but preference will be given to junior faculty. The grant will pay for return airfare, up to a maximum of $1,600. Travel can take place in the summer or winter of 2010. Tickets must be purchased by June 14, 2010.
