International Academic Programs (IAP) is offering students the exciting opportunity to intern abroad for academic credit and gain real world experience for their career. International internships provide students with the opportunity to gain experience in the field, determine if they have an interest in a particular career, and create a network of contacts.
Anthony Wilder, a music performance and journalism major in strategic communications, interned and studied abroad in Sydney, Australia during spring 2009 on a program with an internship option. Wilder was an intern for 33 Interactions, a trans digital media firm, working as a social media architect.

Housed in UW–Madison’s Division of International Studies, IAP serves as the primary study abroad office on campus, having the largest number of UW-Madison study abroad programs. Today the office oversees more than 140 programs in over 50 countries around the world.
