The Institute for Regional and International Studies (IRIS) at the University of Wisconsin–Madison has announced the opening of 2016 competitions for the IRIS Fieldwork Award and the Scott Kloeck-Jenson Fellowship Awards.
IRIS Fieldwork Award: IRIS, part of the UW–Madison International Division, is offering Graduate Student Summer Fieldwork Awards of $3,000 to support students planning to conduct at least six weeks of fieldwork outside of the United States during the summer 2016.

Applications for Scott Kloeck-Jenson (SKJ) Fellowships are now being accepted from graduate students seeking summer 2016 awards.
Two types of SKJ awards are given annually:
- International Internship Fellowships support graduate students interested in undertaking practitioner internships abroad.
- International Pre-Dissertation Travel Fellowships support overseas travel to potential field research sites for doctoral students planning to conduct preliminary dissertation field research.
The SKJ program is open to UW–Madison graduate students of any nationality whose work includes a social justice component. Students enrolled in terminal master’s degree programs are not eligible.
