China Scholarship Council Visits UW-Madison

On Thursday, April 14, 2011, the China Scholarship Council delegation met with UW-Madison campus leaders. The China Scholarship Council provides a special scholarship for the Chinese Champions Program participants.

The visit was arranged by the education section of the consulate general of the People’s Republic of China in Chicago.

The China Scholarship Council is the designated organization operating the Fulbright program for Chinese students studying in the U.S. and provides a variety of financial aids and scholarships to Chinese citizens studying overseas and international students studying in China. Located in Beijing, the China Scholarship Council is a non-profit organization affiliated with the Chinese Ministry of Education.

Other China Scholarship Council delegation members included: Li Jianmin(李建民), deputy secretary-general; Dong Zhixue ( 董志学), executive director; and Meng Li (孟莉), deputy director, Division of American and Oceanian Affairs.
