The Language Institute hosted the Language for Life: Careers in Translation and Interpretation panel discussion on May 7, 2010, that drew 60-70 people, most of whom were students eager to hear from professionals with extensive and diverse experiences working in translation and interpreting.
Panelists included Sarah Berquet-Clignet (French); Alison Carroll (French, German, Portuguese, Spanish); and Tomislav Longinovic (Serbo-Croatian).
Dean of the Division of International Studies and Vice Provost Gilles Bousquet delivered the welcome address.
