Recent UW-Madison graduates Nuttall, Thorp recognized by International Sculpture Center

Recent graduates of UW-Madison’s Art Department Jeremy Nuttall and Elizabeth Thorp are recipients of the International Sculpture Center‘s (ISC) Outstanding Student Achievement in Contemporary Sculpture Awards.

Nuttall and Thorp both received their Master of Fine Arts degrees earlier this year.

The ISC created this annual award program to “recognize young sculptors and to encourage their continued commitment to the field,” said a press release. The program also draws attention for all of the sculpture programs in the participating universities, colleges and art schools.

A prestigious panel selected 15 award recipients and 16 honorable mentions from a total of 356 students nominated from over 137 participating sculpture programs spread across universities, colleges and art schools in five different countries.
