Last Friday the University Wisconsin Foundation hosted its annual Bascom Hill Society Autumn Dinner Event, the theme of which was international education, research, and service at UW-Madison. Dean and Vice Provost Gilles Bousquet was the emcee extraordinaire!
A highlight of the evening was this video on UW-Madison’s International Learning Community (ILC).
What is the ILC? Thousands of UW-Madison students study abroad. But hundreds more immerse themselves in global cultures right here on campus through the ILC. In Adams Hall, residents concentrate on languages as diverse as Arabic, Italian, German, Japanese, Spanish, Norwegian, Swedish, and Danish while they learn to “Live Locally, Think Globally.”
